Our Story - Her Version
Friday January 30, 2015

In February of 2013, I packed up me and the girls with what would fit in the trunk of my car and I moved to Texas for a wonderful job opportunity. Who would have thought that within a week of being there that I would have met the man that I would spend the rest of my life with. With the new move Jason, my brother-in-law, wanted to take his little sister out to show her a fun night out on the town. Little did I know he was playing "Matchmaker". He had contacted Brandon asking him if he was coming out that particular night because he had someone that he wanted him to meet. Brandon responds with, "Will she be here next week because I'm tired?" Jason is a pretty convincing guy so whatever he said was interesting enough because even though Brandon was extremely tired he still managed to make it out. Among friends and family we all hung out and had a good time.
After a few more social gatherings, Brandon built up the courage to ask me out on a date. What can I say, you have to have your stuff together to step to me! April 1st, 2013 - We enjoyed a great night of music by Anthony Hamilton and dinner afterwards. That night was the start of our future. The next few weeks we talked, we texted, and we spent hours on Facetime where we grew to really like each other. There was just something that was different about him. He is a true gentleman, so genuine and has such a warm heart I just couldn't resist. Plus, he is ambitious and I love what he is working towards. We both are two hard working people.
We quickly became boyfriend and girlfriend, and our relationship powered on to an even stronger love connection in weeks to follow. Within a year's time we had celebrated birthdays, holidays, traveled, met each other's family and we were enjoying every minute of what felt right. I felt like he was the one, and we had been talking about a future together and I just knew a proposal had to be coming. We took a trip out of town for Valentine's Day and it was the perfect weekend for it, but nope no ring! I hated that feeling of getting my hopes up so I put the thought of a proposal out of my mind. Little did I know he had something in the pipeline...
